Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

LessonQuest (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides a web application that turns photos of K–5 math lessons into custom browser games. By using LessonQuest, you agree to the terms below.
Who this applies to
LessonQuest accounts are created and managed by parents or guardians (“you,” “your account”). Children do not create their own accounts and access games only through links or sessions set up by a parent. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
The service
LessonQuest is provided “as is,” currently in early/soft launch. Features, availability, and pricing may change. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted access and aren’t liable for losses arising from outages, errors, or AI-generated content inaccuracies (e.g. a generated game containing an error).
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and may not use the service for unlawful purposes.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, and (if you sign in with Google) basic profile information from Google.
- Lesson photos: photos of lesson materials you upload, stored in private cloud storage accessible only to your account.
- Child profile information: at your discretion, you may create child profiles (first name, grade level, avatar emoji, difficulty setting) to track progress. You provide and control this information.
- Gameplay data:when a child plays a game linked to a profile, we record which problems were answered, attempts needed, and time spent — shown to you on the results page.
- Usage data: standard technical information (IP address, browser type, timestamps) logged automatically by our hosting and infrastructure providers for security and reliability.
How we use this information
- To provide the core service: generating games from your uploaded lessons and showing results
- To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
- To maintain and improve the service, including diagnosing errors
We do not sell your information or your child’s information, and do not use this data for advertising.
Third-party services
We use the following to operate LessonQuest:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage
- Anthropic (Claude API) — processes uploaded lesson photos to extract problems and generate game content
- Resend — account-related emails
- Vercel — application hosting
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies as part of providing their service to us.
Data retention and deletion
You may delete games and their data anytime from your dashboard. To delete your account or request deletion of your data, contact us at lessonquestsupport@gmail.com.Children's privacy
LessonQuest is designed for parents to use on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Child profile information is provided by the parent and visible only to that parent’s account.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
